Magical Mermaid takes great pride in the products we sell.  We have spent 2 years designing all our amazing products and there is still more to come!  We want to ensure that our customers are satisfied and  we offer our exclusive satisafaction guarantee.  To better understand our company policies, we invite you to read the information contained on this page.

What is your Return Policy?

 

If you find that one of our products is defective during the original 30 days after your purchase, Magical Mermaid will repair or replace the defective item after we have determined that the care instructions included with the package and on our website have been followed. Magical Mermaid will retain sole authority to replace, repair or in some cases refund the purchase price if we are not able  to meet your needs. What we view as defective is beyond normal wear of the costume in a pool. We use material of high quality, but like any material it can fade over time and lose some of the original beauty.  After we receive the return, Magical Mermaid will inspect the products. Upon confirming the defect we will replace it with a new product or repair the defective product. If you request a different product there may be additional fees or charges based on the price of the item made in exchange.  Refunds on unused items within 14 days of purchase and are subject to a 20% re-stocking fee. Buyer pays any additional shipping costs.  Custom Tails and Tops (including sizes and color choices) are not refundable. Halloween Cut Tails are custom tails and are not refundable.  During the holiday season, we accept returns and exchanges within 10 days following Christmas.

What is your Exchange and Refund Policy:

We will be happy to assist you!  Magical Mermaid Swimwear accepts returns and exchanges 14 days from the date of purchase that are confirmed to be in new, unused condition.  Unfortunately, we are not able to exchange any product that has been damaged  or worn in the water.  If you need to exchange an item, please send an email to MagicalMermaidSwimwear@gmail.com and request return information. Please include your reason for wanting an exchange,( i.e.: the item is too big- need a size 6 same color). Any item returned to us in used and worn condition will be returned to the customer. 

Please be aware there may be additional charges if you request a replacement product that is higher priced than the one you are exchanging.  Conversely,you will receive a refund if you select a smaller, less costly size. The customer is responsible for all shipping options and shipping charges to return the item to us. Magical Mermaid will ship the exchange package via USPS First-Class mail at no additional charge to the customer and we will pay 1/2 half the cost to ship an exchange to countries outside the US. We reserve the right to ship your package in the most economical method if we are  paying for the return.  If you need us to expedite the return order we will be happy to ship via your requested shipping option, but you will be required to pay the additional shipping fees.

 

Follow these steps to process your exchange or refund:

  • Contact our customer service department by emailing MagicalMermaidSwimwear@gmail.com to get authorization & instructions for the return

  • Include in the return package the authorization email issued from our customer service department.

  • Follow the instructions you receive by email to return your package

You will need to provide the following information on the  Return Authorization Form and include it with your return package:

  • Reason for the refund or exchange

  • Name 

  • Bill to and/or Ship to addresses on original order

  • The name and email address of the customer who was charged for the purchase

  • The original order number 

  • Name, Size and color of new product you would like

What are Your Shipping Fees?

Flat-rate shipping is calculated based on the total and weight of your order.  Please click here for detailed shipping options and rates.  Express shipping is available on the check-out page.  You will need to add your express shipping option to your cart.

How do I Care for my Mermaid Tail and/or Swimwear?

 

Magical Mermaid uses top quality fabric which we have tested extensively and know to be resistant to fading, shrinkage and wear.  Our swimmable products require some special care to prevent damage and fading. Be advised that when fabric is rubbed on a rough surface of a pool or tub it can damage the beautiful fibers. We are sorry, but abuse of the fabric by significant rubbing, walking on the tail, and lack of care by a rough surface (pool or tubs) will not be covered under our warranty policy.

 

Instructions for Care: After wearing in the water DO NOT wring out the garment as it can damage the glitter on the fabric. Rinse the garment out in cool water and lay it on a flat towel. Carefully roll up towel squeezing out the water; hang and allow to drip-dry. Do not use in an automatic washer. If you need to wash your costume, first turn it inside out and gently hand wash using a mild detergent. Instead of squeezing or rubbing, gently swish the garment through the water. Focus on actual stain spots rather than attempting to wring or rub the entire garment. Turn the garment out the right way and gently dab at stains where they appear. Rinse in clear water. Lay garment on a flat towel and carefully roll up towel squeezing out the water; hang and allow to drip-dry. Do not use in a dryer.

What is the fabric made of and where are your garments made?

 

We use top quality fabric which we have tested extensively.  It is made of 80% nylon and 20% spandex and has a four way stretch.  We manufacture all of our garments right here in the United States.

5% of our net profits will go to Shelters for abused women and children and the non-profit “Dolphin Research Center” in the Florida Keys.   We support the Arts!

Magical Mermaids LLC, its agents or suppliers shall not be responsible for any direct or indirect special consequential or other damage of any kind whatsoever suffered or incurred by any user of its products, related to the use or misuse thereof wheteher dirctly or indirectly.  Magical Mermaid Swimwear products are offered foro use entirely at own risk and Magical Mermaid Swimwear, its agents or supplers are hereby indemnified from and against any loss or damage sufffered or liability incurred in respect of any user of its products, which arises, inter alia, but shall not be limited toa any loss or damage resulting from any bodily injury, disability or damage which can be attributed to any act or omission on the part of the indemnified parties whilst making use of any of the Magical Mermaid Swimwear products range.  Our merchandise meets all the requirements and complies with the United States Child Safety Standards and the CSPS.

  • Back Float for  30 seconds: It's important to be able to safely relax and rest in the water if you get tired.

  • Roll from front float to back float: able to turn over, maintain control and be comfortable in the water.

  • Swim 25 meters/yards and breathe unassisted during the swim without help from the sides of the pool.

  • Dolphin kick on front 5 kicks, breathe and repeat; This is the basic movement required to swim in a mermaid tail. Swimmers should be competent at it before mermaiding. 

  • Dolphin kick on back 5 kicks.
